TV arrived an a reasonable timeframe, and in nice condition. They managed to get it assembled with no issues, though the textless assembly instructions were a tiny difficult to decipher — they are not “Ikea” quality. Quickly attached cables as indicated, and had the TV working within minutes. The clarity of the picture is great, and the color settings are realistic. We have not tried all the features yet, but for ease of preliminary setup and quality of both sound and picture, they are happy with this purchase. Samsung remains of the better brands on the market.
Forget about all those other web connected Blu-Ray players. Those lesser boxes may be able to stream Netflix, but can they stream your home movies? NO. These failure machines may even see they are DLNA certified, but can they play video encoded in H.264? NO. Does wireless prepared mean that the wireless controller is in the box? NO. Those other machines are built on charred and ashen remnants of an underpaid engineer’s hopes and dreams, the fumes from which emanate from these other boxes and bring forth tears and cries of frustration as you angrily press the play button over and over, wishing that your box will play your h.264 encoded video of your son’s first steps. Do not do that to yourself. You deserve better. The world deserves better. The world has better, the LG BD670.
Like the famed and beloved LG BD390, you can throw any connection to the LG BD670 with any format and it will play it. Works with DLNA servers. Even works with network drives over wireless N. Plays MP4s, DIVX, MKVs, etc. Streams from Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, MLB, NBA, VUDU, Pandora, etc. Plays off a USB disk. And it plays Blu-Rays and DVDs. LG has even been so kind as to add apps. The remote could be better, but pddbbfff, who cares about the remote.

I snatched up this projector as soon as I could after it was introduced (October 2010). I felt confident buying a brand new product because this projector is an evolution of the highly regarded 8100 from last year. The 8100 brought 1080P resolution to the mainstream of the home projector market. For the same price or lower, the 8350 improves upon the 8100 in several areas. First, it has inorganic rather than organic LCD panels. This feature suddenly became important to me when my six year old Sanyo PLV-Z2′s blue panel gave out. I found out that (eventual) blue panel failure is a common problem with the old Sanyo’s organic panels. Inorganic panels are more stable and heat-resistant. In addition to the inorganic panels, the 8350 is brighter than the 8100 and it has a higher contrast ratio (black/white).

This Panasonic was probably the best option to go with in the event you don’t require to spend additional money for the 3D effects that are added in the next model up. It’s an excellent picture. No issues with burn in at all. I used to have a Samsung 50 inch DLP 720p T.V. & I loved it. Durring moving it got a immense scatch by & giant viewing area which bothered the shit out of me. The DLP is dated tech only used now in immense T.V.’s but the dark screen gave it great a great contrast ratio. The new plasma is excellent as well but has that reflective screen I am not used to yet. It was a great investment at only $900.00 for a 50 inch 1080p that will probably last the remainder of my life. The new plasma tech actually lasts longer than LED-LCD tech acorrding to everything I have read about it. The actual advantage of Plasma over the LED-LCD T.V.’s is that you can view them at an angle & not loose picture quality. So in the event you have a large room & have others over to see a lovely blu-ray it is worth going plasma. It makes absolutly no noise & has excellent thermal ventilation. Note: This model is 1080p but reports only 900 lines. I cannot appear to tell any difference( Probably due to 2011 tech ) However in the event you require the full 1080p you need to by the next model up. About $300 more but it does include 3D tech. So it is up to what you require or what you will use. Note: I would have kept my Samsung even with the scratch if it didn’t have a bad thermal sensor that was turning the T.V. of sometimes in the midst of movies & T.V. It was completly random sometimes the T.V. would stay on for 8 hours without an issue & sometimes It would turn off numurous times in twenty minutes. I got sick of the issue & decided it was time to replace it. And the lamp in the DLP’s needs to get replaced at around $200 & the time for that was also comming near. Overall I am over happy with the Panasonic & I did a hell of lots of research before I bought it. as I do with computer parts before I buy & build a brand spanking new server for myself. P.S. I am a computer tech with 12 years behind my belt, so I take my electronic purchases personal & profestional. Hope I helped someone who is still on the fence about making a choice. Others did it for me & I pass along the knowledge. Steven L.

this TV specifically for the Netflix app which allowed me to stream live movies onto the tv in lieu of watching them on my computer. This product is comparable with other brands I had researched in the $850-$1000 cost range. The picture quality is GREAT! It was simple to set up & connect with my wireless router. & in no time I was watching movies & building my watch instantly queue with Netflix. A quantity of the other reviews mentioned a high pitched whine when the unit is turned off. This must have been addressed by Vizio because I can put my ear to the thing & no noise is there. I am liking the Yahoo Widget apps & the TV guide app is handy. Also, with the Pandora Web Radio app who needs XM/Sirrius when played through a surround sound or stereo system.
